Responsibilities

As an automotive technician at Bluebonnet Ford, you will be expected to:

• Move customers' vehicles to the repair stall area, where you will perform maintenance or repairs as outlined on the repair order. As you do this work, you should be both accurate and efficient, and you will be required to perform work following factory and dealership standards and all federal, state, and local laws.
• Diagnose vehicle malfunctions accurately.
• Communicate with service advisors if additional repairs are needed, if the requested service is not needed, or if the requested service will take longer than the estimated time.
• Communicate with the parts department to secure necessary parts for service.
• Quality checks your work and road-test vehicles to ensure that the repairs have been done satisfactorily.
• Keep customer vehicles and the work area clean and safe.
• Participate in training and keep up to date with factory updates.
