Four Exciting Things About the 2018 Ford Expedition

2018, and the 2018 models from Ford, are upon us here at Bluebonnet Ford. One of our favorite, family-friendly SUVs has arrived on our New Braunfels lots, and it's giving us plenty to talk about.

The 2018 Ford Expedition has much in common with previous year models. It's still a large, three-row SUV, with seating for up to eight people. It's still a traditional, truck-based SUV, with a 9,000 pound towing capacity to match. But, there are a few updates to this great SUV.

Here are four things that have been changed on the 2018 Expedition that we think our customers will really appreciate:

  1. A new ten-speed automatic transmission is now standard equipment on all Expedition models.
  2. The standard, turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine has been revised to offer more power, it's now rated at 375 horsepower for most trims, and at 400 horsepower for the top trim, Platinum.
  3. The optional extended length Expeditions, which offer more cargo room and more legroom than a traditional model, have undergone a name change for 2018. They are now called Ford Expedition Max.
  4. There are new standalone packaged and optional add-on features drivers can order to customize their Expedition the way they want it.
